We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Traffic Management Designer (TMD) to join our growing team.

As part of our in-house Planning team, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining all aspects of our Planning Department. If you are currently working as a Traffic Planner and looking to transition into a qualified TMD, we offer support and development opportunities to help you achieve this.

About Our Traffic Operations

Our Traffic Management operations span across Adelaide, extending into outer metropolitan and regional areas of South Australia. We work with a strong and loyal client base, delivering services across major infrastructure projects, local councils, civil construction, and a wide range of events.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) in line with relevant legislation, standards, and company procedures
  • Collaborate with the Planning Team to efficiently deliver plans and project outcomes
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify hazards to ensure the highest safety standards
  • Liaise with local councils, the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT), and clients to secure approvals and ensure compliance
  • Apply for permits through relevant authorities and manage permit timelines, including extensions
  • Communicate operational and site requirements to Scheduling, Operations, and Management teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation, permit tracking, and general administrative duties
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide excellent customer service
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

About You (Profile for Success)

  • Proven experience in Traffic Management (essential)
  • Current WZTM and OHS Construction White Card (essential)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence (essential)
  • Experience using RAPIDPLAN (essential) and TRAFFIO (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of AS 1742.3, AGTTM, and relevant Codes of Practice
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability with the capacity to prioritise multiple tasks
